This year of 2010 has been a very challenging year for Jan and me. The first disappointment was that on December 31, 2009 my most enjoyable business
officially closed. We had completed 18 years of professional photography where
I did not want to close, but due to changes it became necessary. This was my third career to end, the one I enjoyed the most. I think the hardest part was realizing that my age was getting on up there and that my body demanded that I cut back on the stress. So, I had planned to do some part time work, as Mitch and not under the professional business name. It was very good until June of 2010. I kept thinking that I was having acid reflux but the pain in my chest and across my shoulders became more and more severe and my strength went away. Mrs. Jan kept an eagle eye on me, ready to dial 911 at any minute. So one night she said,
It is getting time to get checked out, are you ready? I said no, however I did tell her to get me in to see the Nurse Dr.’s assistant. She ran an EKG left the room, and in came my Doctor on the fly, saying “Mitch you are going to the Cardiologist
right now! She then showed me the EKG, and explained that something was very wrong. That began the process of many tests and scheduling for open heart surgery. So on June 16 and a four bypass, my life totally changed. The medical people did not prepare me for the emotional and mental changes, so after a good physically healing, I had to start being treated for the emotional and mental health. One good thing is that I am walking 30 to 40 minutes 5 days a week, where Mrs. Jan joins me, and we both are enjoying the time of doing something together. Oh! I said all that just to share that on June 15th 2010 I retired for my health.
So what does a man do in retirement? Well, this one is learning to take it easy, while I continue to do network marketing. Yes, I am with AlixaMax Worldwide Networking Marketing Opportunity. You are welcome to go to my capture page http://tinyurl.com/2g85avb and look over the details!
From time to time I will be posting some of my nature photography for anyone’s pleasure. You are welcome to befriend me by sending an email to: mitch@mjdhomebus.com
